My work with Skillpoint Alliance was timed so well. Personally I was being drawn to more hi-tech, STEM oriented ideas for informal learning activities. 3D printing, drones, CNC mills, mircocontrollers, wearables, programming, and robots were all drawing a lot of my attention. Skillpoint needed someone to develop fun STEM camps that highlighted making and experimentation and I found myself getting to develop those programs with my dream work partner Amanda Longtain. I’m really proud of my work with Skillpoint and though they have stopped offering educational services for youth I feel we did some good work and believe we made an impact on some young lives.
