One of my favorite camps was a wearable technology camp hosted for neighborhood students at Eastside Memorial High School. What I loved about this camp was the fun and the tech combined. I also learned a valuable lesson about hiring facilitators. Here we hired a facilitator that wasn’t necessarily a subject matter expert, but had the perspectives of failing is fun and had the capability to connect with the students. Sometimes building that personal relationship is the best way to get a kid in the space to learn.
